Down Town FC Remains Undefeated
In LFA Third Division Chase

Monrovia-Down Town FC on Monday March 7, 2022 continued her winning spree in Liberia Football Association (LFA) Montserrado County Sub-Association third division championship to four.
Down Town FC did so after crushing Patrina FC 5-1 in the 12th round of the LFA Sub-Association third division played at the Barrack Young Controllers (BYC) sports ground on Lynch Street.
Striker Sampson Boah got the match curtain racer for Down Town FC in the 14th minute from the penalty spot after his comrade striker Gabriel Male was brought down by Patrina FC defender Prince Ben in his own penalty box which resulted into the penalty kick.
James William hit in Down Town FC second goal in the 43rd minute through placement and a forceful shot which ended the first half 2-0 at the advantage of the winning side.
Striker Rufus Crusoe got the winning side third and fourth goals in the 49th and 53rd minutes respectively after carrying on two tactical finishing touches against the losing side defend, while defender Prince Ben who caused the penalty against his team Patrina FC scored against his side to make the scored 5-1 while the losing side Patrina FC striker Kaham Kawah scored his side consolation goal in the 83rd minute.
Down Town FC head Coach Mara Weah Walker attributed his team’s continued victory against their opponents to his players continued perfect ball possession and finishing touches in each of their games played yet in the league but called on them to increase their finishing touches which he believed would make easier their scoring chances.
He made clear to his players that the aim of the team’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Pokar Roberts is for the team to qualify for the second division stage of the LFA and that such aim will only be accomplished if they as players keep on their winning spree against their opponents in the league followed by the rules of the game.
Walker said, “I hope you all will keep on your better ball possession and finishing touches followed by the rules of the game against your opponents as the league progresses because those are three of the powerful skills in the game of football that could give you the advantage against your opponents in each of your game and I hope you all will keep it ongoing until our mission is accomplished.”
