Down Town FC Describes Midfielder Douglas Kolubah Death As Great Loss

Following recent reports of the death of Douglas Kolubah, who played the group stage of the ongoing National County Sports Meet for Sinoe County, the president of Down Town Football Club has described his team’s midfielder death as a big loss to the team and the family of the deceased.
Pokar Roberts voiced that the death of his team athlete came very surprising to them as team officials and family members of the decease because they never heard about him being sick or heard that he suffered from any injury during the group stage of the National County Sports Meets but they are now in contact with officials of Sinoe County to give them detailed information about what led to the athlete death.
The team’s president described Sinoe County sports officials’ refusal to make clear to them the cause of the athlete death as regrettable and vowed that he will do all he can in the possible way to know the cause of death.
Roberts called on the Ministry of Youth and Sports to quickly intervene to help fine out the cause of death.
He said, “Since yesterday, we got information about our athlete’s death; we have tried our possible best to get detailed information about the cause of death but no official of Sinoe County has agreed to really explained the cause of death; but, I can assure them that we, as officials of Down Town FC and family members of the late Kolobah, will leave no stone unturned until we get detailed information regarding his death.”
Roberts paid tribute to his late athlete in tear and described the athlete’s days on Down Town FC as very encouraging and revealed that the late Kolubah contributed immensely to the qualification of the Down Town FC for Liberia Football Association (LFA) 2024 national league third division playoff stage.
“I am pleased to pay tribute to our late midfielder Kolubah and family members on behalf of Down Town FC and I promise to work hand in hand with his family members for his funeral service,” he said.
