Deputy Minister Myers Lauds Staff Of MFDP

Deputy Finance Minister for Fiscal Affairs, Anthony G. Myers, has lauded staff of the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning for an efficient role played to ensure the timely submission of the country’s national FY 2024 budget, as well as the government’s 100-days deliverables.
Deputy Minister Myers, expressing delight for the staff, recorded their hard work and commitment and said they have been instrumental by ensuring the government 2023 consolidated financial report was made.
‘’You supported us and today we have an approved budget’’, we say thank you, and it was because of you we were able to deliver the 100-day deliverables and the 2023 consolidated financial report. We thanked you for the support shown,” he said.
He made the remarks at a general staff meeting on Friday, May 10, 2024, at the squared ground of the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning.
Myers also commended staff for a smooth working and progressive relationship since the senior management team, headed by Minister Boima Kamara, arrived at the ministry.
He urged the staff to do more by collective engagements and to deliver and meet the target deadline for reporting and execution purposes.
The Deputy Minister for Administration, Bill McGill Jones assured staff of a better working environment under the leadership of Finance Minister Boima S. Kamara.
According to him, benefits in the area of medical insurance and transportation for employees will begin at the end of June 2024. He noted that sanitation and safety works are currently ongoing, and renovation works will begin shortly within MFDP.
He admonished employees to dress neatly and be at work on time, encouraging employees to be customer service oriented at all times.
