Deputy House Speaker and Representative of Bong County electoral District #2, Prince Kermue Moye, has announced that proceeds from his rice farm will be bagged and sold for a reasonable price on the local market in the soonest time.
The lawmaker has over the past three years cultivated several hectares of rice on his farm in Mano-Wainsue, Jorquelleh thereby employing several youths and women on a long and short term basis.
Representative Moye told this paper that the yield from his rice farm is now enough to be placed on the market.
During the recent harvest in the District, several farmers joined Deputy House Speaker Prince Moye for the entire day for the latest harvest that took the County like a wild fire.
Besides rice farm, the lawmaker also has Palm which has over 800 acres been covered.
Representative Moye has meanwhile promised to continue the provision of seeds to farmers for the next planting season.
He them encouraged his people to start making farms not only for eating but for commercial purposes.
During the harvest, farmers celebrated with Moye and called on other lawmakers in the county to follow the footprint of the Mano-Wainsue native.
‘We the residents of District #2 in Bong County are calling on our two Senators Henry Willie Yallah and Dr. Henrique Flomo Tokpa as well as our seven representatives not to use their agricultural break money in different countries but to use it for the purpose it is intended for like Prince Moye,” the joyful citizens told our reporter.
