According to CEO Dehmie, the Liberian business community under his leadership has agreed to support representative Samuel Kogar for several reasons.
“We the members of the business community have observed and taken into account that Representative Kogar is among law makers in Nimba that is against corruption, he is an experienced law maker that always speak for the masses, ” CEO Dehmie pointed out.
“We want to take this time to appeal to the citizens to do away with tribal politics, election violent , during the by- election in the county , ” CEO Dehmie warns .
Since the beginning of March 2025, by-election senatorial fever grips Nimba with more names of political party representatives wishing to contest for the seat.
Nimba is comprised of nine electoral districts that are expected to go to the polls to elect new senator to represent the interest of the people in the county.
Since the death and burial of the late Senator Prince Johnson, Madam Edith Gongloe-Weh, Representative Samuel Kogar, former County Inspector Mack Gblinwon, former deputy Education Minister Dr. Kadaker Rex Dahn, are among people who have openly expressed interests to contest for the seat.
Dehmie group of companies is the first group to openly pledge support to a politician in Representative Kogar who is eyeing the senatorial seat, in the wake of the by-election.
When this paper contacted Representative Samuel Kogar via mobile phone to confirm the support from the Dehmie Group of Companies, the phone ring endlessly without response up to press time. As the contest for senatorial race draws nearer, it becomes everyone’s guess as to who becomes Nimba County next senator following the demise of the County “Political God Father”-Prince Yadoo Johnson”.
