Curtains Fall On Voting Phase In LFA Awards 2024 -As Nominees Await Results Patiently

After days of tense stakeholders’ interaction concerning the appraiser and celebration of football icons or heroes for from the last league season, the much-anticipated voting phase for the 2024 Liberia Football Association (LFA) Awards has officially come to a close.
This phase being the most concerning stage of the awards process which comes with so many contradictions came to an end Monday December 2, 2024 at midnight leaving players, coaches, and fans eagerly awaiting the announcement of the winners.
Following the end of the of the voting phase all eyes are now on the next step asking the question “Who can the winners be”.
From many indications, the answer to this question is ready and will be release through the set stage for the grand event on Saturday December 7, 2024 at the EJS Ministerial Complex in Congo Town.
This year’s awards have generated intense excitement with the introduction of new categories and new heads and innovation in the process and a host of talented individuals nominated across various categories.
The categories ranging from Player of the Year to Coach of the Year, and Young Player of the Year, Discipline player of the year. The nominees have spent the past few days anxiously watching the voting process unfold. With the polls now closed, the final decisions are in the hands of the voters, and all that remains is the wait for the big reveal.
While the nominees await the results with bated breath, the LFA Awards Committee under the Chairmanship of Christopher Hayes Onanuga have been lauded for their ability to shine a spotlight on the talent, determination, and resilience that define Liberian football and set standards for transparency throughout the process.
This year’s event, which has been a focal point for players, coaches, and fans alike, marks another milestone in the ongoing development of football in Liberia.
The Most Valuable Player Nominations in the First Division Category are: Emmanuel Sieh (Watanga), Clement Zubah (Formerly of Mighty Barrole, now playing for Shaita FC), Ishmael Doumbouya (Bea Mountain), Nush Zohn (Mighty Barrole) and Abdulai Yaya Bility (Heaven Eleven)
The Most Valuable Player Nomination in the Second division Category are: Matthew Theo Williams of Gardnersville FC, Jonathan Freeman of Discoveries Soccer Academy, Augustine Dayougar of Blackman Warriors and Momo Blamo of Shaita FC.
In the women Category, Most Valuable Player nominees are: Mabinty Camara of Determine Girls, Makasian Siryon of Ravia Angels, Erica Parson of Shaita Angels and Mbassey Darboe of Determine Girls.
These are the top categories that set the stage for the voting phase with other categories like Best Coach, Best Young Player, Best Foreign Player Awards among others lineup in the back to have a brighter taste to what the competition actually stands like.
