CSO Group Recognizes
Rep. Bob Harley Sheriff

The Movement with Integrity for National Development (MIND) has been recognized as the Most Outstanding lawmaker of Grand Cape Mount County’s Legislative Caucus, 2021.
Speaking to news men shortly after his honoring ceremony, the Executive Director of the Movement with Integrity for National Development, Sekou D. Sonii, noted that they voted the lawmaker for his outstanding performance which includes but not limited to the distribution of over one million cocoa seeds to over five thousand farmers, the construction of a multi-purpose building which will be used as offices for district heads, women groups, and youths of the district including radio station, etc. The lawmaker has made and continues to make maximum use of his legislative engagement fund that was given by the 54th National Legislature to engage projects in the district for development.
“As it is important to indicate, this esteemed recognition of Honorable Sheriff is as a result of a comparative review process conducted by MIND intended to track the workings of all lawmakers in the county, Mr. Sonii,” underscored.
Sonii also averred that, the lawmaker continued financial support to other districts in the county over the years, contribution to humanitarian groups, capacity building for less fortunate Cape Mountainians among others are worthy of this recognition.
Receiving the honor, Rep. Bob Sheriff lauded the initiative and pledged his unflinching commitment to meeting the needs of all inhabitants of Grand Cape Mount County and also stressed that, it’s important for such venture to be undertaken to ensure that public officials are effective in the discharge of their duties and holding firm to their portion of the bargain as required by the Social Contract Theory, which subsists between the electorates and elected officials.
Climaxing the occasion, Mr. Sonii cautioned Rep. Bob Sheriff to continue his good work in the interest of the county and also asserted how paramount is the need for public officials to attend to the demands of their governed as a means of strengthening relationships and maintenance of confidence for the common good of the county and district in particular.
