Ambassador Al-Hassan Conteh has taken on a new chapter in his diplomatic relations, this time with great expectation of harnessing a long history of collaboration and mutual support.
Conteh whose previous deplomatic service was in Abuja, Nigeria, is expected to be working with several Liberians to include the Assistant Chief of Protocol for Diplomatic Affairs at the US State Department, Nan Kennelly and a delegation from the Liberian Embassy in Washington DC led by Charge d’Affaires Ad Interim, Isaac C. Yeah , including Minister Counselor for Press and Public Affairs, Al-Jerome Anastas Chede, First Secretary Tobias Togba, and Third Secretary Isaac Zally.
“His Excellency’s arrival is not just a routine transition in diplomatic staffing but embodies a significant step in bolstering the bonds of partnership between Liberia and the United States,” Yeah commented.

Ambassador Conteh is a renowned diplomat and scholar, though has to his record at his last mission a legacy marked by neglect of a staff’s plight of sexual harassment of a minor within his supervised premises in Abuja thereby causing the staff to relocate along with his family out of frustration.
However, with his new portfolio, this diplomat is expected to play a more crucial role to enhance bilateral relations, especially in Liberia’s new foreign policy thrust of economic diplomacy.
