Employment In Nimba

Commissioner Rancy Mengon of Leewehpea District in Nimba County is demanding the government through the Ministry of Affairs to employ the assigned staff at the commissioner’s compound with immediate effect.


Speaking in Flompa Town, Commissioner Mengon disclosed that many of the staff assigned at the office of the district Commissioner are not on government’s payroll and is creating hardship on the local authorities working with the ministry of internal affairs in the district.


Commissioner Mengon’s demand is pointed at the clerk, janitor, constable, watchman, as positions that are to be occupied by people working without salary in the district.


The MIA County Inspector in Sanniquellie, Mack Gblinu, when contacted on November 8, 2022, was out of the office.
