Bain-Garr Commissioner Amos Gbatu says lack of operation funds is hampering the smooth running of the district.
Gbatu disclosed that the deplorable condition of the commissioner’s compound and lack of operation funds are raising serious concerns among residents and the administrators of the district.
According to Commissioner Gbatu, the compound is falling apart as the zinc over the building is completely damaged and leaking, the grass needs to be cut and there are no watchmen in the area at night which are among contributing factors hampering the running of the district.
“During the council’s county sitting in Sanniquellie in 2022, US$ 25, 000 was allocated for the renovation of the Zuluyee Commissioner building but up to present, the building remains in ruins,” Commissioner Gbatu pointed out.
Bain-Garr’s commissioner compound in Zuluyee Town is among compounds captured by the outgoing county administration headed by the former Superintendent Nelson Korquoi during the council county sitting held in Sanniquellie in 2022, respectively.
When this paper contacted MIA County administrator Daniel Zekpeh over the weekend in Sanniquellie, many of the staff were out due to the death of senator PYJ.
