Commissioner Begs For Assistance In Nimba

By Solomon T. Gaye Sr.
The Weegheyi Administrative District Commissioner, Kama K. Miapue, has lamented that the lack of funds is hampering the smooth running of that administrative district in Nimba County.

Speaking to this paper in the district, Commissioner Miapue, begged local and international NGOs operating in the country to extend their services by helping the women group with skills training in the district.

Dwelling on the same issue, Commissioner Miapue called on Representative Roger Domah of Electoral District Seven, Bility Foundations and the county administrations to help with cash to recondition the commissioner’s compound in the district.

According to Commissioner Miapue, if nothing is done in renovating the compound, the entire Commissioner’s compound will undoubtedly remain in ruins.
Madam Kama K. Miapue, is among District Commissioners recently appointed by President George Manneh Weah since 2018 in Nimba County.

Commissioner Miapue replaces the outgoing Commissioner Jefferson Googon of Weegheyi Administrative District in Electoral District Seven in Nimba County.

When this paper contacted MIA County Inspector Mack Gblinu via mobile phone, he explained that plans are underway to recondition the Commissioner’s compound in the nine electoral districts after the Council County Sitting.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs County Inspector Gblinu added his voice to the deplorable condition of the Commissioner’s compound and the many challenges the county administration is going through due to the lack of operational funds from the government.

When Representative Roger Domah of Electoral District Seven was contacted via mobile phone, his phone rang endlessly up to press time.
