COLINBO Leadership, LACC Rap On Anti-Corruption Efforts

The leadership of COLINBO, has met with the Executive Chairperson of the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC), Alexandra Kormah Zoe on Anti-Corruption issues.
The discussion held Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at the LACC head offices, focused on the ongoing efforts in the fight against corruption and the role of the business community in this crucial national endeavor.
The president of COLINBO, Joseph Kodah, expressed appreciation to the Executive Chairperson on behalf of his team for the significant progress being made by the LACC in combating corruption.
He highlighted the direct benefits that small business groups like COLINBO would experience when corruption is curtailed, and pledged the organization’s cooperation with the LACC in any future needs.
Kodah expressed COLINBO’s interest in participating in the procurement of goods and services for government agencies, including the LACC, ensuring the fight against corruption is achieved.
Executive Chairperson Zoe thanked Mr. Kodah and the COLINBO leadership for their visit; something she said, demonstrates the institution willingness to buttress the government efforts in combating corruption.
She acknowledged that COLINBO is the first business organization to formally commend the LACC for its efforts in fighting corruption, and expressed her gratitude for their positive feedback.
Cllr. Zoe also noted that the meeting serves as a strong motivation to continue working diligently in the interest of the Liberian people, and encouraged COLINBO to act as whistleblowers, to report any instances of corruption they may encounter.
She added that the LACC remains committed to fostering partnerships with all sectors of society, including the business community, as part of its mission to eradicate corruption and promote good governance in Liberia.
