According to the young man, before starting the training, Code Brain conducted a research on ICT institutions and trainees in the country and the results showed that a lot of IT trainees are more inclined theoretically than practically thereby limiting the job prospect or opportunities of ICT graduates.
He added that based on the research results and recommendations from ICT institutions, Code Brain will be focusing on practical approach rather than theory to boost their trainees’ chances with employers and give them upper hand in the job market.
Wallace further noted that the training is divided into phases and the first phase will last for four months, after which trainees will graduate or move forward to the next and final phase of training which will be about six months.
Meanwhile, the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, Mr. Mohammed F. Fofanna stressed that periodic evaluation involving trainees and trainers alike will be carried out to ensure that trainees are understanding their lesson or that trainers are teaching within the scope of the curriculum for better comprehension by the trainees.

In encouraging the trainees to take their Software training seriously Program Director, Mr. B. Geeplay stated that the entire world is now moving from the traditional style of workmanship to a Techno-savvy-work environment with Software technology taking on increasingly important role in society.
He added that since software development provides innovative platforms, it can be used to support government developmental agenda and enhance the fulfillments of the Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs) with emphasis in youth empowerment through ICT4Dev in Liberia.
“We will explore how ICT innovation capacities and experiences could be used to develop and support national ICT4Dev efforts in improving lives in Liberia as we are geared toward youth empowerment especially those from the slum communities, marginalized groups, less-privileged youths and high school-dropouts,” Mr. Geeplay said.
He then concluded by appreciating Rev. Dr. Kanye, a Liberian based in the United States of America for the provision of the training center and to Mr. Neotodeh B. Torbor for many support to the program through the donation of materials.
