The Church of the Lord World-wide Liberia Province has completed its 72nd Annual Conference, aimed at coming together to find solutions to some challenges.
Addressing the media after a week-long conference, the provincial head of Liberia, Moses Victor Olasemojo, said that the importance of the conference is to be given the opportunity to plan ahead, so as to move away from where they are to a higher level.
According to him, the conference that started on February 12 – 18, with lots of activities such as several seminars, marching, and thanksgiving, was under the theme: “The Merciful and Convenient God.”
Bishop Olasemojo added that some of what was discussed at the seminar was about evangelism, and that the message about evangelism is to remind every individual of their responsibility on evangelism, both in the society and the kingdom of God.
He continued that one of the topics that was mentioned, as well, was how to prepare the sermon and the importance to the individual.
He furthered that the 72nd annual conference was well attended by all of their members across the fifteen counties, including Maryland, Lofa, Nimba, Bong, Margibi, Bassa, and Bomi, among others.
He added that the church is an organization and that their lives reflect on the blessings of God through the covenant he made with their spiritual father.
Bishop Olasemojo emphasized that they all gather once in a year to reason and plan on how to get to the next step, “We have some decisions, some resolutions, all ministers will meet three times in a year to go on the mountain in order to seek the face of the Lord.”
However, he is advising everyone to join hands with the President and move Liberia forward, because unity, peace, and honesty are needed in order to achieve our goals.
“My message is that election campaign is over and this is not time for campaign any longer, but time to join hands and move as a team, let’s forget about tribalism, division, nepotism, and come together as one to move the country forward,” he said.
“Also, when you look around you, you find out that there are lots of things to be fixed, and majority of the youths that are supposed to be the leaders of tomorrow are just roaming the streets here and there,” he said.
He added that if the leaders of tomorrow are roaming the streets, that means there is no future for the country, adding that the government should focus and bring the disadvantaged youth out of the mess for the benefit of the country.
