The Chairperson of the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), Mulbah Morlu, is urging CdCians, Grand Gedians, and Liberians at large, to remain calm until the final investigation of the death of Rep. Erol Madison Gwion of District 1, Grand Gedeh County.
Chairman Morlu said that not only the CDC is bereaved, but the entire country and Grand Gedeh County are bereaved as well.
“We lost one of our profoundest, most committed, and loyal party members, the late honorable Erol Madison Gwion; we want to use this sad event to reach out to the bereaved and immediate families and county to express our deepest condolences to the people of Grand Gedeh county.
“These are difficult times, we are struck by this tragic fall of a partisan that spent all of his life defending and fighting for the mighty democratic change, I knew him personally, the late Rep. Madison was a brother that I have known for the past 20-25 years now,” he stressed.
According to Morlu, the deceased was a man of profound prominence, and having fallen so tragically, has left the CDC dumbstruck and aggrieved by his loss.
“We ask that every man or woman should come together under this tragic time and unite the county. The late Madison was a man of peace, during his days as a CdCian; even before this party was founded, the deceased has always demonstrated respect for the rule of law, a man of peace, tolerance, and also a revolutionary.
However, It is not in the interest of CDCians or the county to allow violence in the aftermath of the deceased’s tragic passing, so we want to reach out to every Grand Gedian, men, women, and children, to come together to avoid violence and to unite.
It would be wrong for an exclamation of violence to take place in the aftermath of a brother who lived all of his years in tolerance and believing in the rule of law,” Morlu stated.
