“Bring Everybody Home”
-VP Mandates CDC Chair

Vice President Jewel Howard Taylor seems dissatisfied over the handling of aggrieved supporters of the party and has mandated Chairman Mulbah Morlu to ensure that said partisans return to the Coalition.
Madam Howard Taylor realized that some partisans of the three political parties forming the Coalition have abandoned the ruling establishment for what she termed as different reasons.
“Mr. Chairman, we have to bring everybody home. Whatever it takes we must reach out to them. Maybe some people may not want to comeback but let us make the effort because President Weah is the President for all Liberians whether here home or in the Diasporas,” she instructed.
Also speaking the party’s national retreat in Gbarnga, Bong County on Friday, the Vice President intimated that it is mandatory that the chairperson bring back those aggrieved partisans and recruit as many Liberians as he can to make the CDC very powerful again.
I am totally certain that Bong County will give us the hundred percent votes comes 2023,” she said.
Madam Howard Taylor stressed that with unity returning to the table of the rulings establishment, the 2023 will be rally victory for her boss, President Weah, the CDC and the Liberian people.
Chairman Morlue welcomed the mandate of the vice standard bearer and promised to recalibrate and reach out to all beyond the aggrieved partisans for a convincing victory comes 2023.
He narrated that no CDCian is useless to the purpose of moving the party forward and promised to extend olive branch to partisans and beyond.
The Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) has uprightly described its standard bearer George Weah as better candidate to be reelected.
“President Weah is a clean man integrally, politically and he’s decent man in the contemporary history of the country. Those that continue to throw lies around about President Weah are living in falsehood,” Morlu said in Gbarnga over the weekend.
Chairman Morlu said that leadership of the party, following several consultations, realized that the CDC needs to engage the people and to redevelop methods of unity.
Morlu explained that the leadership of the ruling establishment took a decision to dissolve its structures both at local and international level, but with an understanding of restructuring and reorganizing all departments for progressive engagement and to make it effective.
“The strength of the CDC is from the people in the communities, counties and those many considered as the ‘masses,” he said.
Chairman then appreciates the delegates for their full attendance and that their presence at the Gbarnga event is clear manifestation of their political commitment to the CDC and the standard bearer uncompromising.
The strength of the CDC is from the people in the communities, counties and those many considered ‘masses’ they are owner of the CDC. So, any decision making affecting the leadership of the CDC they are consulted,” he said.
The party’s National Chairperson said, some political actors are attempting to seam his first partisan’s character with falsehood.
Morlu’s statement is an apparent reaction to a malicious video circulating on social media depicting a wrong message of the President.
Morlu said, “There are some political actors attempting to besmear the character of our standard bearer with lies, falsehood and misinformation, our President is a man of peace and tolerance. Those that are making up things know the facts but they are pretending because of politics.”
He added that Liberian leader did come to power by violence instead through a certified democratic means, the party is led by peace icon, President Weah as a global aspiration as a man of peace and a man of non-violence.
“Weah had never supported war; he had done all things peacefully. I have never seen a political struggle built on violence that prevails. Violence only gets violence. But a revolutionary CDCian cannot be violent in politics; it is time to accept those who made mistakes. We must be tolerant throughout our political and social lives,” he said.
