Opposition Unity Party (UP) Joseph Boakai has confirmed April 25- 30, 2023, as dates set to reveal his running mate in Monrovia which follows mounting public concerns over the delay of Amb. Boakai, in the selection of Vice Presidential candidate; with few months to elections.
Making the disclosure, Tuesday, UP National Secretary, Amos Tweh said Amb. Boakai has concluded consultations among those opting to occupy the Vice Presidential slot on the party’s ticket and will make it official on April 25 or 30 latest.
The UP Chief Scribe maintained that the selected individual understands the complexity of the Liberian society and shares similar visions, and aspirations of the Unity Party.
However, Tweh failed to state whether the selected individual is an integral member of the UP.
Before the UP’s Secretary Tweh’s assertions, there were reports circulating in Monrovia that Boakai and Cummings had been having closed door meetings.
