Boakai Returns To Homeland …Wants Liberians Unite For Rescue Mission

The Standard Bearer of the Unity Party, Joseph N. Boakai, has returned to the country and is calling on all Liberians to join him on a mission to rescue Liberia.
Amb. Boakai left on a trip to the US to consult with Liberians in the diaspora and during his stay, he held a fundraising rally in Philadelphia, which was attended by not only the Liberian community in Pennsylvania but also foreign nationals, including Americans.
The rally was a huge success and Amb. Boakai raised over US$ 22,000.
The attendees of the ceremony expressed that he deserved even more than what he generated as many Liberians abroad believe that Amb. Boakai is the only hope for a better future for Liberia in the upcoming general elections.
Upon his arrival at the Roberts International Airport on Monday, thousands of Liberians gathered to welcome him and with the significant turnout, the Unity Party Secretary General, Amos Tweh, noted that there was no publicity about Amb. Boakai’s arrival.
Though he welcomed the turnout as a sign of the people’s confidence in the Standard-bearer, Amb. Boakai took to his Facebook page to express his excitement about being back home and to called on all Liberians to get ready to roll up their sleeves and join him in the “rescue” mission.
