Boakai Consoles Iran

President Joseph Boakai has sent a condolence message to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Supreme leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, following the death of President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, and six others, who were killed in a helicopter crash on Sunday, May 19, 2024.
According to a Foreign Ministry release, President Boakai expressed profound sadness and deep sorrow following the death of these senior officials of the Iranian Government.
In his message to the Supreme leader of Iran, Khamenei, the Liberian leader, on behalf of the Government and people of Liberia, and in his own name, extended heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of Iran for the irreparable loss sustained.
He then prayed that the Almighty Allah will grant Supreme Leader Khamenei and the people of Iran strength, courage, and fortitude as they go through this difficult period of national mourning.
