Boakai Congratulates Swiss Confederation National Day

President Joseph Boakai has sent a message of congratulations to the Government and People of the Swiss Confederation on the occasion commemorating the National Day celebration on August 1, 2024.
In the message to President Viola Amherd, of the Swiss Confederation, President Boakai extend best wishes to the Government and People of the Switzerland on behalf of the Government and People of Liberia and in his own name.
According to a Ministry of Foreign Affairs release, President Boakai stated that as the people of Switzerland commemorate this significant event, it’s important to celebrate the share commitment to international peace, democracy, and a fair, equal and just world, which is the cornerstone of the bilateral relations between the two countries.
The Liberian leader added that Switzerland has been a steadfast promoter of global stability, and that his Government value the Swiss efforts in fostering global peace.
President Boakai expressed hope that during his administration, these relations will further flourish through collaborative efforts in sectors such as, agriculture, infrastructure, energy, rule of law and tourism.
He then extends best wishes for President Amherd well-being, and continue peace and prosperity for her family and the people of Switzerland.
