Bishop Donyen Resigns From ANC?

The Alternative National Congress’ presumptive candidate in the pending national elections, Bishop Nimely Donyen, has tenured in his resignation barely six months to the conduct of the October 10 Legislative elections in Liberia.
Mr. Nimely who is commonly known as Bishop Donyen, is one of the leading aspirants in District 2, Montserrado County who has been flagging the agenda and flag of the ANC.
A position from the Chief of Office Staff in the Bishop office has brought lots of misconceptions among citizens within the district.
Some citizens speaking to us described the bishop as inconsistent reflecting to his membership with the CDC before the 2017 elections where he felt defeat to now Representative Jimmy W. Smith in the primary of the party; a decision that made the bishop to contest as an independent candidate.
During his official statement while joining the ANC, Bishop Donyen then described the party as the best party seeking the interest of the ordinary citizens.
It appears that residents of who support the bishop do not believe in the ANC as they have pleaded with him to see reasons to contest as an independent candidate.
It can be recalled that Radio Five morning show titled, “INSIDE LIBERIA” conducted an opinion poll on Friday which heard many of his supporters vote contrary to his then political leader Alexander Cummings but rather voted him and President George Weah something one could hold as a factor responsible to his resignation.
Mr. Nimely who once resigned from Catholic Church after it was reported that he allegedly walked away with some cash has established a new church call the Independent Catholic Church in Liberia.
When contacted, Mr. Nimely Donyen promised that his office was expected to address the issue shortly in a press conference.
