In continuation of his humanitarian services to communities, organizations and individuals, the Bishop of the Independent Catholic of Liberia (ICCL), Bishop Nimely Jacobly Donyen has given 25 pieces of 16-inch Cool General Orbit Fans and 30 gallons of Britone Paint (OIL) to 5 sub-stations of the Liberia National Police (LNP).
Speaking at the presentation ceremony at the Base 9, Jacob Town Police sub-station over the weekend, the Bishop said that he made the request to compassionate for Life, an American Non-Government on behalf of the Police as the Dry Season and the festive season were insight.
The Bishop named Jacob Town, Rehab Paynesville as well as Pipeline Paynesville including Mount Barclay and Central Johnsonville sub-Stations as beneficiaries of the donation saying that each sub-station should be given 5 pieces of ceiling fans along with 6 gallons of navy blue and white paint.
According to the Bishop, the gesture is intended to enhance their work as they are working assiduously day and night protecting lives and properties describing it as laudable and urged them to continue the good work.
He then informed the Police that his latest donation to it is what he called “small thing” assuring the men and women of his continual contribution to the force in a bigger way next time.
Dave Nyemah, OPS Zone 9 Base and its Depots expressed thanks and appreciation on behalf of the Police Chief, Patrick Sudue to the Bishop and partner for the donation referring to it as essential.
“We will continue carrying out our job diligently as per our duty manual so as to protect lives and properties,” he vowed.
The Bishop’s humanitarian service is no doubt winning the admiration of residents of the affected communities as they are hailing him for impactful projects that he is undertaking like financial assistance to students, low-interest micro loans to several women amongst others.
