Bettomax Announces Major Sponsorship Deals With Top Liberian Football Clubs

Liberia’s football landscape is set for a significant transformation with sports betting company Bettomax unveiling two substantial sponsorship deals. The company will prominently feature on the jerseys of Watanga FC, the reigning Liberia Football Association (LFA) First Division champions, and Shaita Angels, the current Orange Cup Women’s champions, for the upcoming football season.
Watanga FC has entered into a three-year sponsorship agreement with Bettomax, valued at approximately $60,000. This deal will see Bettomax’s logo displayed on the front of Watanga’s jerseys. Under the agreement, the club will receive $20,000 annually. Though exact financial details were not officially disclosed by Watanga’s CEO, Andy Quamie, sources indicate the total value of the contract over three years stands at $60,000.
In addition, Shaita Angels has secured a one-year sponsorship contract with Bettomax, estimated to be worth over $14,000. Bettomax’s branding will be featured on Shaita Angels’ matchday kits. This agreement, which is subject to renewal, underscores the company’s commitment to supporting women’s football and reflects a growing recognition of the importance of promoting women’s sports.
Darren Glover, CEO of Bettomax Liberia, expressed excitement about the new sponsorships, highlighting the company’s dedication to giving back to the community. “As a sports betting company in Liberia, it is crucial for us to support the sport that unites so many people here,” Glover stated. He emphasized Bettomax’s commitment to enhancing both men’s and women’s football and elevating women’s football to the same prominence as men’s.
Glover also noted that these sponsorships align with Bettomax’s broader corporate social responsibility objectives. The company has been actively involved in supporting health initiatives and plans to further its charitable efforts by partnering with the Healing Liberian Foundation in the near future.
Shaita Angels President Benita Urey welcomed the sponsorship, acknowledging the challenges in securing such support previously. She praised Bettomax for its dedication to women’s football and expressed optimism about the positive impact the partnership will have on the club’s goals. “Bettomax’s support is a tremendous boost for us. We are hopeful that with this backing, Shaita Angels can reach new heights and become a leading force in Liberian women’s football,” Urey said.
Watanga FC’s CEO Andy Quamie also reflected positively on the partnership, recalling the successful collaboration during the CAP Cup Competition. He expressed confidence that the sponsorship would be mutually beneficial for both the club and Bettomax, and committed to continued excellence on the field.
