Bea Mountain Dedicates Police Station

Last Thursday, October 17, 2019, Bea Mountain dedicated a newly constructed Police Station in Darblo Clan, Gola Konneh District, Grand Cape Mount as a way of giving to the people of that county.

The Police Station, which is first of its kind in the county, has several modernized facilities, including offices, bathrooms, conference hall, and waiting rooms, very comfortable for inmates stay with a 30KVA generator.

Speaking at the occasion, Bea Mountain General Manager, Debar Allen lauded the Police and the Joint Security for the level of work they have done over the years, most especially, by maintaining the peace we enjoy today.

Mr. Allen further lauded the Liberian Government for the level of commitment it had shown in recent times, aimed at supporting the peace. He wants Liberians to join the CDC led Government so as to move Liberia to a crime-society to a crime-free society.

The Bea Mountain Boss maintained that if Liberians join the government, it will also buttress the efforts of foreign companies in the country support the agenda of the government. He wants the maintaining of the peace to be the collective efforts by all Liberians, irrespective of tribe or ethnicity.

He lauded the local county officials of Grand Cape Mount Company for the love shown them since they arrived and have been in the county, most especially, in Darblo Clan. Mr. Allen intimated, “We want to give special recognition, and thank the Superintendent, Hon. Aaron Vincent for the love he showed us when we came on board.”

For his part, the Deputy Director at the General Services Agency (GSA), William Dirkel lauded the people of Grand Cape Mount County for the kind reception they received and wants others to emulate same.

He further stated that as the GSA remains the custodian of Government’s property, the citizens should be cognizant of the fact that they are to play their role, as well as the citizens, adding that it is their resources that the company is giving back. “Make no mistake to play with this property,” he stated.

Mr. Dirkel further called on Kinjor citizens to join efforts with the Government in maintaining the newly dedicated police station. He said, although, the GSA is the key Government Agency responsible to keep Government’s properties clean and safe, but said, citizens have the responsibility to maintain them properly because they benefit a lot.

For his part, the Deputy Inspector Director of Police, Marvin Sackor lauded Bea Mountain and said, that efforts on the part of the company will forever be remembered by Cape Mount people and Liberians in general.

In his words to the citizens, Deputy Inspector Sackor called on the people of Kinjor to join the police in maintaining the station, because the reason for the construction of the station was for the police to maintain law and order, and protect the citizens.

Meanwhile, both the Superintendent and Kinjor Town Chief Aaron Vincent and Adama Hens in separate statements appealed for a guest house for the town and support for the citizens to help reduce the number of criminal activities carried in the county.

According to him, the process that led to the construction of the police station started since 2012, when it was called old Kinjor. He lauded the Management of Bea Mountain and authorities of GSA for coming to their aid.

He also appealed to the Police to guide the citizens so as to avoid committing crimes which could lead to arrests. He said, counts 14 of the Police Law states that as a security, one should respond to his or her duty on time.

He then admonished the police to carry on routine patrol in the town and district to avoid criminal activities. The ceremony was attended by a host of citizens of the county including youth groups, elders, chiefs and women groups.
