Assets Tracing, Financial Profiling Critical To Fighting Corruption -Chairperson Martin Asserts

Executive Chairperson of the Liberia Anti-corruption Commission has opened a week long training on Assets Tracing and Financial profiling with a call on investigators and corruption prevention officers to be vigilant.

Chairperson Edwin Kla Martin informed the participants that Anti-corruption practitioners must be armed with all necessary information in order to perform their tasks effectively.

He reminded the over 30 Anti-corruption practitioners that they must not allow criminals to be ahead of the curve. 

Cllr Martin said capacity building and continued professional education in

the integrity sector are cardinal to building an efficient workforce.

Participants are drawn from all departments within the LACC.  They will spend eight days dealing with issues of illicit financial flows, Assets Tracing, money laundering, and financial profiling. 

The training under the full sponsorship of the Liberian government is part of efforts to build the skills of investigators and corruption prevention officers in tackling new challenges in the field of Anti-corruption.
