A Representative aspirant, Mohammed A. Ware has identified with the Muslim community through the donation of food and cash in electoral District 9, Montserrado County.
Items donated included 32 25kg bags of rice and a total of LD8,000 to over eight mosques across the district.
Donating the items on behalf of Mohammed, the team’s Chairperson, Alfred Garwo stated that the donation was his boss’ own way of identifying with his people during their time of Ramadan.
According to him, the donation over the weekend is one of the numerous donations and contributions that his boss (Mohammed A. Ware) has carried out throughout the district.
He indicated that as Muslims across Liberia observe the holy time of Ramadan, it is their prayer and hope that they will remember Liberia in their respective prayers for the good and forward match of the country.
Garwo then conveyed his boss’ greetings to the Muslim community, while at the same time vowed to ensure that their lives and other residents of the District lives are improved.
Receiving the items, the various Representatives from the eight Mosques lauded the team for the gesture, noting that it came timely and vowed that the donation will be used for the intended purpose.
