Armed Robbers Attack Chinese National In Ganta

By Solomon T. Gaye Sr.
The Liberia National Police (LNP) says there is an ongoing investigation on an alleged armed robbery attack on a Chinese National who is said to be in the employ of the CSE Senegalese road building company as a Geologist in Ganta City.
Lei Yijun, 57, filed an official complaint to the Liberia National Police assigned in Ganta that a group of men allegedly attacked him with deadly weapons such as cutlasses, scissors, and knives upon arrival in Ganta at night around the old UBA Bank.
The CSD office confirmed the incident though its boss, Preston Gonpue, who explained that the investigation is ongoing at the Police station and that there has been no arrest in connection to the case.
Since the withdrawal of the armed Police in Ganta, reports of thefts, armed robbery attacks, coupled with other related criminal issues are on the increase thereby keeping the Police Station in Ganta as a transit point of business people go to gather daily registering complaints.
Ganta is among several fast growing commercial cities in the country with no Police barrack to fight crimes or battle with Zogoes as 2023 presidential and Representative elections draw closer in the Country.
