American School Donates Computers To Joel Preparatory School

The Albany Area School District in Minnesota, a US-based institution has donated several computers to the Joel Preparatory High School in TUSA field in Gardnerville, Monrovia.
The US based School made the donation through Mr. Bestman Dennis, the man who pleaded the case of the school to their US counterparts, realizing how dearly the students need computer knowledge since the world is in the Technology Age; where computer skill is one of the most important requirement in the job market.
Presenting the computers to Joel Administration, Mr. Dennis clearly pointed out that the items are intended to build the students capacity in computer skills and prepare them for the jobs market after graduation.
After receiving the computers, Marianne A. Fayiah who currently runs the affairs of the school on behalf of her ailing father, expressed gratitude to the Albany Area School District in the US for such a kind and timely gesture.
She also lauded the selflessness of Mr. Dennis under whose intercession her school is benefiting from the American school benevolence or philanthropic act, referring to the donation as unprecedented and undesired-kindness.
“The Administration of Joel can undoubtedly assure you that the computer will be used for the intended purpose making sure that the students benefit fully from their usage,” she said with confidence.
“We wholeheartedly appreciate this kindness which is the first of its kind in the history of our school and also the timely nature as we have been lagging behind in providing computer education to our students for so long,” she added.
“We hope this will not be the last time that you have come to our aid,” Miss Fayiah pleaded with the Minnesota based school, noting that the school is also in a dire need of a science laboratory, textbooks and other instructional materials.
The Joel Preparatory High School was established in June 1992 by Joseph Y. Akakpo as a Junior High School, but has since grew into an important high school in the Liberia educational space with the current enrollment of approximately 500 students.
