In an apparent effort to buttressing Montserrado County District #9 Representative Munah Pelham Youngblood’s food distribution Project, Senator Saah H. Joseph provided half a million Liberian dollars as his initial support tailored towards the food project.
Rep. Youngblood who is suffering from a protracted aliment, is amongst Liberian lawmakers caught up in Ghana while representing Liberia due to the novel Coronavirus that is ravaging the world.
Sen. Joseph also promised to extend his L$ 500,000 distribution scheme to the Lakpazee Market shortly as means of empowering marketers in District #9.
Speaking when he hand-delivered to the District. #9 leadership, Sen. Joseph said the amount donated was his way of extending a helping hand to the district especially in the absence of Rep. Youngblood.
He asserted that said ‘amount’ is also intended to pay back to District-9 noting that when he announced his bid to contest for the Senate, he was welcomed and well voted for through the help from his colleague Youngblood.
“Through the help of our Representative Youngblood, I received massive support from Distric-9 during my bid for this seat in the Senate. As such my visit is also in appreciation of that support you gave me,” Sen. Joseph intimated.
For his part, Chief of Office staff in the office of the lawmaker, Gen. Frank Foko, thanked Saah Joseph for the gesture and promised the fund will be used for its intended purpose.
“Your being here today in her absence is not strange to us because you have been doing it for years even before your ascendency to the House of Representatives and eventually to the Liberian Senate. We have followed your track records in giving back to the people. We pray that wherever you took this fund must be multiplied so as to enable you do more for every other district”. Foko said.
