Our investigation which continues into findings to authenticate Marpu’s nationality as a Liberian/ Indian; her parents have claimed to be a Liberian. Our previous investigation exposed how Paramjit K Dhaliwal aka Marpu Dhaliwal obtained a Liberian passport and an Indian passport but was arrested in the United States when she attempted to travel under the cover of seeking asylum in 1996.
This new revelation about Marpu is to establish whether or not both the mother, Rajminder Dhaliwal and Mohinder Dhaliwal are indeed Indian Nationals.
This investigation emanates from an affidavit that was issued by her father, Mohinder Dhaliwal before the court in New Jersery in support of a petition that was filed by Parajit Dhaliwal aka Marpu Dhaliwal and her brother Hardeep Dhaliwaln providing clear evidence which is seen on page four of this paper.
It is important to inform the public that our investigation depeens into Marpu’s father, ( Mohinder Singh Dhaliwal) as evidence from the US Court verifying that Paramjit Dhaliwal, (Marpu) is his daughter and Rajminder Dhaliwal as his Wife (Marpu’s Mother) and the mother of his two children.
The next few edition of our investigation is aimed at tracing the nationality of Paramjit Dhaliwal Aka Pami Dhaliwal.
Marpu recently granted an interview in a local daily in which she declared that she is a Liberian and that she has the right to own properties in Liberia. Based upon this pronouncement, she is believed to have some properties in Liberia in her own name which is believed to be in complete violation of Article 22 of the Liberian Constitution which provides that only natural born citizens of Liberia have the right to own property in Liberia.
However, despite our recent publications about Marpu’s baffled nationality and how she was arrested and deported to India , and the investigation done by the US home land security, the head of the Immigration and other relevant justice department in Liberia has made no meaningful effort.
The deportation of Marpu from US to India is a clear evidence that she is not a Liberian, because a deported person is deported to his or her country of origin. In other words, if Marpu was a Liberian she should have been deported to Liberia instead of India. It is therefore strange that despite these revelations, the Ministry of Justice and the Bureau of Immigration have remained tight-lipped on Marpu’s saga. See document below:
Mohmder Dhaliwal, of full age, upon his oath deposes and says:
I. I am the natural father of both Pararnjit Dhahwal (“Pami”) and Hardeep Dhahwal. (1-lardeep”) the petitioner and respondent respectively in the above matter, and the formerr husband of the late Rajminder Dhaliwal (Rajminder”). I have read the Affidavits of my son and daughter, including the reply Affidavit of my daughter, as to which documents I offer the following facts and responses:
2 Rajminder and I were married in India in 1960. We divorced in 1973.
Nevertheless, from 1991 until I 99S my ex-wife and I, although divorced, lived together in
Highland Park, New Jersey, and at 33 Millstone Rd. Somerset, New Jersey, with our daughter Pami.
- Pami and I provided Rajrnmder with the funds to purchase the Millstone Road property, with the understanding that title to same would be placed in Pami’s name When I discovered that Rajminder had purchased the property in her own name, I commenced a law suit, on behalf of myself and my daughter, to recover the monies that we had invested, and that law suit resulted in a Judgment entered in 2000 against Rajminder.
- To date, no monies have ever been collected by Parni or me in satisfaction of that Judgment, which remains a lien upon the aforesaid premises.
- Although Rajminder and I experienced a rocky relationship during the pendency of that law suit, we did reconcile some time in 2005, to the point that we were able to cooperate with each other for the benefit of Pami.
- I have operated Dhaliwai International Trading Company, inc. in Monrovia. Liberia, since 1966. Commencing in 1996, my daughter Panil joined the family business. Since 2004, she has been based primarily in the liSA, and is in daily communication with on—site managers.
- In the early part of 2005, Rajminder advised me that she had previously lent money to Hardeep, because he had begged her to help him construct a pool and deck for her grandson. I do not know the precise amount of money that Rajminder lent to Hardeep
for this purpose; however, the sum of $25,000.00 that was apparently given by Hardeep to Rajminder in January, 2005 appears to be a full or partial return on this loan. Although Rajminder and Hardeep had been estranged for many year, Rajminder was very proud of her only grandson, and wanted to make him happy. Rajminder advised me that she had received substantial monies from the sale of a property in India that had been owned by her parents.
- The $25,000.00 check tendered by Rajminder to Pami on or about April 14, 2005, was a loan to the family business in Liberia. It was purely and simply a business transaction to cover a cash flow shortfall occasioned by a shipment of assorted finished product from the USA to Africa in December, 2004, and the money had absolutely nothing to do with any settlement of our Judgment Pami and I re-paid the loan to Rajminder commencing on September 10, 2005, and made final payment on or about September 3, 2006. (Exhibit A).
- 1 have additional records to document the repayment of this loan, and will produce them if requested by the Court. However, I respectfully submit that Hardeep’s allegation in this regard is a red-herring side issue having absolutely nothing to do with this action to admit Rajminder’s Will in solemn form into Probate, and to vacate Letters of Administration that had been issued to Hardeep by reason of his apparent memory lapse that his mother in fact had executed a Will in 1998.
- On or about February 13, 2007, and again on April 11, 2007, Pami or I personally paid the homeowner’s insurance premium for the Millstone Avenue property. (Exhibit A)
- 1 am sad to advise as a father that my relationship with my son has been estranged since my subsequent re-marriage, and I actually got along better with Rajminder, my ex-wife, than with my own son. I do know for a fact that Hardeep never supported his mother emotionally or financially, until she was able to acquire property and inheritance in India. I personally overheard Hardeep abuse his mother over the telephone in vulgar language that no child should ever speak to his mother. Needless to say, Rajminder was very upset. Nevertheless, she was very proud of her grandchild, and often spoke to me about him.
- Rajminder advised me on several occasions that she had no intention of leaving to Hardeep any portion of her estate other than a token gift, because only Pami cared about her.
