The Fair Ground in Buchanan City was transformed into a scene of reverence and jubilation on Saturday April 5, 2025 afternoon hours as hundreds gathered to honor a towering figure in Liberia’s spiritual and civic life Rev. Abba Karnga on the occasion of his 95th birthday.
Rev. Karnga, widely regarded as a beacon of wisdom, humility, and moral clarity, was celebrated by family, admirers, and high-profile dignitaries, including President Joseph Boakai.
The milestone event was marked not just by his age, but by the extraordinary legacy he has built over decades of spiritual service and compassionate leadership.
Among the most visible figures paying tribute was Pro-Temp. Karnga-Lawrence, his daughter, who described her father as a “living symbol of hope.”
“Rev. Karnga’s life is a true testament to the power of faith, love, and resilience,” she said.
She said, “His 95 years are not just a celebration of age, but of an extraordinary legacy that continues to uplift and inspire. He has been more than a spiritual leader he has been a father figure to many, a moral compass in times of doubt.”

His presence has graced weddings, funerals, baptisms, and countless community crises always accompanied by words of comfort and a quiet strength.
