The dream to transform Lofa County is said to be gradually taking root, especially with the speed, vigour and passion that is attached to said endeavour by sons and daughters of the County.
Senator Momo Cyrus disclosed that the constructive vision to develop the County to be on par and even more than other Counties in Liberia is now being accelerated to the maximum height.
According to Sen. Cyrus, in the next four to five years, Lofa County will be a different County in terms of transformation, and they noted, “No more turning back, Lofa Will be Developed, we are constructively jealous about other Counties, and we are ready to do it for ourselves.”
Speaking on the OK morning show, Sen. Cyrus indicated that the people of Lofa very resilient are, resolved and ready to work to transform their County, thus rallying all Lofian,s, home and abroad, to seize the current movement and join forces together to develop the County.
Setting April 8, 2025, as the date for the groundbreaking ceremony, the Lofa Senator said his people are upbeat about such a meaningful sporting project, which will pave the way to bring Lofians more together through sports, thereby creating avenues for other developmental activities to flourish.
Currently, Wologisi FC, Hailed from Lofa and owned and supported by Senator Cyrus, is now the champion in the Liberia Football Association Second Division League, awaiting an official crowning ceremony.
The Wologisi Boys, with few games to spare, have already collected 65 points from twenty-six games played and will be promoted to the First division league next season, a move Senator Cyrus termes as fascinating and the beginning of more to come for the County and its people, especially in Sports.
He further revealed his optimism of raising US$500,000 for the project ahead of the groundbreaking ceremony and disclosed that the design for the modern stadium projected to be constructed in two years is now being worked on in Istanbul, Turkey.
Meanwhile, Senator Cyrus has also provided L$1 million to the women of Foya as a means of empowering them to engage more in their swamp farming and other activities to be independent.
He further intoned that when women are more empowered, they can contribute positively to the development of society, and maintained, “I am happy to remain independent, which has enabled me to navigate my way through all sectors including other key politicians and stakeholders for my people and county.”
Cyrus, however, vowed to continue to work for his people to see the County Transform, adding, “Our legislative caucus is one of the best in the Country. We are united,, and members of the caucus are all jointly working together to move development to the County.”
