Senator Moye has promised that as chairperson of the county’s legislative caucus, there will be no Interference from a single Lawmaker, adding, “I will use my oversight to prevent any member of that august body (caucus) who intends to overshadow the operations of any public institutions in Bong
County.
The Bong County Legislative Caucus Chairman, says under the government of President Joseph N. Boakai, there has been a depoliticization of all public institutions operating within Bong County and the Country at large.
According to Senator Moye, gone are the days when politicians, especially lawmakers in the county would infiltrate and dictate with heads of public entities to influence decisions at those institutions for political glories.
The Bong County down-to-earth lawmaker further asserted that gone are the days when political hustlers exploited the goodwill of the people who provided them with the enabling environment they enjoy nowadays.
He vowed that he will not negotiate with political hustlers to undermine professionals who have been appointed by President Joseph N. Boakai to head the various institutions in the County.
The Bong County Senator named the Central Agricultural Research Institute of Liberia (CARI), Phebe, and C.B Dunbar Hospitals, Cuttington University, and Bong County Technical College, amongst others, as institutions that must be left alone to be operated by their heads.
“You are free to operate without a single interference from any member of the Bong Caucus”, Moye added.
He said over the past years, political interference hugely contributed to the underdevelopment of those institutions in the County.
Meanwhile, the Bong County lawmaker has emphasized the importance of financially supporting public institutions in the county, instead of negatively influencing their operations.
Senator Moye made the statement on March 9, 2025 in Sergeant Kollie Town (SKT), Suakoko District 5, where he had gone to attend a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a Multipurpose Town Hall initiated by him (Moye) and Deputy Finance Minister Bill McGill Jones.
