2 Lawmakers To Rehabilitate Harper City Roads

Harper District Representative, Mike Jurry, has assured residents that all major roads in  Harper City, Maryland County will be rehabilitated.

In an interview on February 21, 2025, on Phoenix Radio, Representative Jurry disclosed that Maryland Senator James P. Biney, has assured of his partnership to rehabilitate all roads within the city.

According to Rep. Jurry, his initial plan was to rehabilitate only some roads in Harper City but based on Senator Biney’s request for collaboration, they will rehabilitate all roads across the entire city.

Rep. Jurry stated that road rehabilitation will cover the Old Kru Town to the Seaport of Harper, New Kru Town to Tubman University campus, Stadium Road to the Airfield, Philadelphia UP Cape, and Bishop Hall.

Meanwhile, the Harper District Representative disclosed that he had already begun supporting ‘susu’(financial savings) clubs to help local market vendors boost their businesses.

The Maryland District 1 Representative has emphasized that additional trucks will be deployed to continue road rehabilitation in Pleebo Sodoken District within a week.

Rep. Jurry announced that 100 additional streetlights have arrived from China and will soon be installed in Harper City as part of his commitment to the people of Harper District.

He also promised to launch the Tiakia Ville Initiative to empower women in the community through grant.

He detailed plans to provide financial assistance to students of Harper District, continue supporting the Merry-Go-Round program, and install a 360-degree camera for enhanced security and monitoring.
