Boakai, Ethiopian Airlines CEO Discuss Strengthening Aviation Ties

President Joseph Boakai and Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO Mesfin Tasew held discussions at Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa, focusing on deepening aviation cooperation between Liberia and Ethiopia.
The meeting, which took place before President Boakai’s departure, underscored the growing partnership between the Liberian government and Africa’s largest airline.
Mr. Tasew expressed appreciation for Liberia’s continued support of Ethiopian Airlines and described the resumption of flights to Monrovia as a vital step in boosting regional connectivity and economic integration.
President Boakai welcomed the airline’s investment in Liberia, recognizing its role in facilitating trade, tourism, and diplomatic exchanges.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening the aviation sector, ensuring a business-friendly environment, and enhancing travel opportunities for Liberians.
As Ethiopian Airlines continues to expand its footprint in West Africa, both leaders emphasized the importance of sustained collaboration to improve air travel, foster economic growth, and create new opportunities for regional engagement.
