Boakai In Sierra Leone On Bilateral Relations Strengthening, Others

President Joseph Boakai on November 18, 2024 departed the country for a four-day working visit to neighboring Sierra Leone at the invitation of his Sierra Leonian counterpart, President Julius Maada Bio.
This visit will run through November 21, 2024 and while in Sierra Leone, the President will engage in strategic discussions to strengthen bilateral relations and advance regional cooperation within the Mano River Union framework.
The visit reflects Liberia’s commitment to deepening partnerships and fostering economic, social, and political collaboration in the region.
Top government officials traveling with the President include Foreign Minister Sara Beysolow Nyanti; Agriculture Minister Alexander Nuetah; Information Minister Jerolimek Piah, and Senior Advisor, Augustine Konneh.
The delegation also includes National Security Advisor Samuel Kofi Woods, Director General of the Cabinet Nathaniel Kwabo and Economic Advisors Sahr Johnny and Morley Kamara.
Members of the President’s media and communication team, as well as his personal staffers, are in the entourage.
During the President’s absence, Samuel Stevquoah, Minister of State Without Portfolio for Special Services, will chair the Cabinet in consultation with the Vice President while remaining in direct communication with the President as he oversees any urgent matters and ensures the smooth functioning of government operations.
