As the 2024/25 National County Sports Meet (NCSM) draws near, River Cess County has appointed Thomas T. Doe and Otis Tarnue as kickball and football coaches.
The country’s biggest sports festival is expected to kick-off December 15, 2024 across four venues as River Cess County is now among teams considered to be on course with preparation activities beginning with the appointment of coaches to head their Kickball and Football teams.
In their letters of appointment released to the sporting media early this week, the county through its sports steering committee chairman, Malcolm W. Joseph, stated that the decision reflects the county’s confidence in their skills, experience, and dedication to advancing the success of Rivercess County in this prestigious competition.
“This appointment reflects our confidence in your skills, experience, and dedication to advancing the success of Rivercess County in this prestigious competition,” said the communication.
“As Head Coach, your responsibilities will include developing training programs, organizing practice sessions, and preparing strategic game plans to maximize the team’s performance. We are counting on your expertise to inspire and build a cohesive, competitive team, while instilling discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship in our players.”
“Your contract for this position will commence on November 4, 2024 and ends on the duration of our participation. Compensation and any additional terms of your engagement will be discussed and agreed upon in a separate meeting. We look forward to working together to make this season a memorable and successful one for River Cess County”, chairman Joseph stated in the communication to the coaches.
River Cess County is one of the three counties that will send their teams to Sinoe County for the upcoming national county sports meet in Group C. While in Sinoe, they will face off with Lofa and Gbarpolu counties in different fixture during their qualifier rounds. The host of this group being Sinoe also stands to meet all of the group members in the fight to determine the two counties that will move to the city after the qualifiers.
