Vice President Jeremiah Koung has officially opened the National Civil Service Testing Center at the E.J.S. Ministerial Complex, marking a significant advancement in Liberia’s public service recruitment process.
In his remarks on yesterday, he emphasized the importance of the civil service as the backbone of the nation’s workforce.
“We must recruit our very best,” he stated, highlighting the need for a workforce characterized by quality, competence, and dedication.
The newly established center, a modern, computer-based facility, is designed to improve the recruitment process by ensuring that only the most skilled individuals are selected for government’s positions.
Koung lauded the Civil Service Agency (CSA) for its vision and leadership in creating a system that enhances the credibility of recruitment, moving away from the previous paper-based methods that allowed unqualified candidates to enter the civil service.
“This facility represents a transformation in how we select those who will serve Liberia,” he noted.
The center’s advanced technology and assessment tools will facilitate timely evaluations, leading to a faster and more efficient hiring process, which is expected to enhance service delivery for all Liberians.
Koung called on all stakeholders to embrace the values of fairness, integrity, and excellence that the new center embodies.
“Together, we are advancing toward a stronger, more effective, and more accountable government dedicated to serving Liberia,” he affirmed.
In conclusion, the Vice President declared the National Civil Testing Center officially opened and urged full utilization of its facilities to strengthen Liberia’s civil service.
