Boakai At Liberia’s Investment Forum In Toronto

President Joseph Boakai, along with his delegation, has arrived in Toronto, Canada to participate as the keynote speaker at the highly anticipated “Liberia Investment Forum 2024.”
The forum was held on Thursday, September 19, at the International Conference Center in downtown Toronto, where President Boakai addressed the Canadian business community, highlighting Liberia’s promising investment landscape.
This event is the result of a collaborative effort between Liberia’s National Investment Commission (NIC) and the QE24 Group of Companies, a Liberian business consortium, and is facilitated by the Trade and Investment Office of Liberia in Canada.
The initiative aims to strengthen ties between Liberia and Canadian investors, focusing on sectors poised for growth in the West African nation.
Upon his arrival at Toronto Pearson International Airport, President Boakai was greeted by a group of Liberians living in Canada.
Many were seen waving Liberian flags and cheering as their leader set foot in the country, reflecting the excitement surrounding the forum and its potential to drive economic growth for Liberia.
Jallahqueena Hawa Konneh, Liberia’s Trade and Investment Representative in Canada, along with Bill Sandy, CEO of QE24 Group, expressed their optimism about the impact of the forum. “This is a unique opportunity to present Liberia’s investment opportunities to a global audience, and President Boakai’s leadership will be pivotal in making a compelling case to the Canadian business community,” said Konneh.
The forum brings together a diverse range of stakeholders, including high-ranking officials from the Liberian government, led by NIC Chairman Jeff Blibo.
These officials are expected to deliver presentations across multiple economic sectors, including agriculture, mining, infrastructure, and technology, with the aim of attracting foreign direct investment to fuel Liberia’s development.
A key feature of the event will be an interactive session, where potential investors will have the opportunity to engage directly with Liberian officials, ask questions, and explore specific avenues for partnership.
President Boakai’s participation as the keynote speaker underscores the significance of the Liberia Investment Forum as a platform for international engagements.
With a focus on building stronger economic relationships and fostering sustainable development, the event is set to play a critical role in shaping Liberia’s future investment landscape.
