Maryland County Senator J. Gleb-bo Brown has underscored the importance of pressing the government to ensure that the true killer of Charloe is brought to justice.
Senator Brown voiced his disappointment with the previous handling of the case, noting that medical reports indicated the presence of male chromosomes in the deceased fingernails; evidence he claimed was ignored.
According to him, instead of pursuing the male suspects, Cllr. Scott and her co-defendants were wrongfully imprisoned.
Senator Brown expressed disbelief over the notion that four women could have been involved in such a heinous crime against their own daughter
Moreover, while addressing the unresolved murder of Charloe Musu, who was tragically killed by an unidentified assailant on February 22, 2023 has celebrated the release of former Chief Justice Gloria Musu Scott from incarceration.
In an interview during the week, Senator Brown welcomed the release of Cllr. Scott while also expressing his strong condemnation of how the case is being handled.
He emphasized that the alleged perpetrator must be apprehended, charged, and convicted.
Speaking via a mobile receiver, he revealed how closely he followed the case through court records, testimonies, and reports from both government and private pathologists.
Senator Brown welcomed the Supreme Court’s decision to release Cllr. Scott and her co-defendants and disclosed plans to join the Scott’s family in launching a campaign aimed at seeking justice for Charloe.
Meanwhile, the senator expressed relief that the lower courts did not have the final say in this case.
He argued that the Supreme Court’s review of the case was crucial, emphasizing that any defendant should undergo a fair trial and be proven guilty before being sentenced. This decision, he noted, contradicted earlier pathologist’s reports, which linked male chromosomes to the crime while a female suspect was wrongly sentenced.
