ULICA Celebrates Achievements At 2nd Graduation Ceremony

The United Liberia Inline Church Academy (ULICA) recently had its second graduation ceremony, showcasing not just the achievements of its students but also the growth and resilience of the institution itself.
The commencement was held over the weekend in Monrovia and marked the years of hard work and dedication for the graduating students.
Addressing the graduates, Samson Wonnah emphasized the importance of education, perseverance, and giving back to the country as future leaders of tomorrow.
According to him, the future of any country depends on the quality of its workforce and so school is one of the most important places that help in preparing and equipping people to serve the country.
“If Liberia will have good and qualified doctors, nurses, economists, lawyers, journalists, teachers and so forth, it will depend on the kind of education the students received,” the guest speaker said.
“In the rural areas, teachers are not the most sophisticated, but they were far more concerned and devoted to preparing students for the future than exploiting them,” he stressed.
“The schools need to redeem the future of our society by re-introducing academic discipline in the education system. This requires a collective effort by different stakeholders, including the teachers, the parents, the government, and the students themselves,” he narrated.
“Teachers play very critical roles in nation building. The duty to mold the minds of our younger ones and impart knowledge into them is very crucial to shaping the future of our country,” he added.
The guest speaker remarked, “Every professional person out there doctors, lawyers, engineers, judges, ministers and pastors are all products of a teacher. Societies must remain forever grateful for the sacrifices that teachers make.”
“Since a school is a place for preparing the future leaders for tomorrow, I urged every teacher to strive and develop competence in students as well as impact values that go a long way in making society better,” he stated.
Meanwhile, he congratulated the students and extended his thanks and appreciation to the school administration, teachers and stakeholders and urged parents to always prioritize the education of their children for a better future.
