A Liberian-owned multi-purpose app which is a comprehensive platform that seamlessly integrates rideshare, delivery, and multiple online vendors booking services has been launched.
At the official launch yesterday, the owner of the app, Rydemi, revealed that its mission is to provide a one-stop solution for transportation, goods delivery, and easy access to a variety of products and services from a diverse range of vendors, adding that the demand for multi-service platform has grown significantly as consumers seek convenience and efficiency in various aspect of their lives.
Speaking on behalf of President Joseph Boakai at the program that was held in Monrovia, the Ambassador at the Ministry of State for Presidential Affairs Charles Snetter mentioned that the platform is crucial because it sets to provide a one stop solution for transportation, goods delivery, and easy access to a variety of products and services from a diverse range of vendors.
According to him, major digitization projects such as National ID Card, Mobile Money, Mobile Tax Filing, Property Tax, Hospitals, Medical Records, Passport Office, Paperless Ports, and other Digital systems are very much needed for the advancement of the country.
Ambassador Snetter added that Liberia has entered a new era and this government is here to make sure that Liberia takes its rightful place in the information technology world, and they will not stop until that is achieved.
“I agree with the concept put forward by the Chief Executive Officer of Rydemi, that this innovative solution designed to enhance the daily lives of Liberians by providing seamless access to essential services, fostering economic growth, and creating new opportunities for entrepreneurship and employment,” he said.
“As we have come to launch this digital platform on behalf of the President who wishes Mr. Wallace all the best in this undertaking, he asks that Liberians take advantage of this modern technology to bring about the much-needed technology advancement in the business community in Liberia”.
The Chief Executive Officer of Rydemi, George Wallace, explained that the idea for Rydemi was born out of a desire to address the growing need for reliable and efficient transportation, delivery, and service booking options, in a world that is increasingly learning towards digital solutions, they saw an opportunity to create a platform that bring these services together, providing a holistic and user-friendly experience.
He added that as they launched Rydemi, he is excited about the potential it holds to transform the way they move, shop and access services pointing out, “This launch is just the beginning, we have an ambitious roadmap ahead, with plans to continually enhance and expand their offerings based on the feedback and needs of their users.”
CEO Wallace however appreciated everyone including their partners who have been part of the journey and have worked tirelessly to bring the vision to life.
