As a token of appreciation, the team presented a desktop computer package to the newspaper’s management, urging them to maintain their commitment to providing women with opportunities to voice their perspectives and influence public discourse.

The UN Women team acknowledged the newspaper’s involvement in their gender reporting initiative, facilitated by the Female Journalists Association of Liberia, which has brought attention to various issues ranging from women empowerment, leadership, FGM, and more.

They praised the Inquirer for its consistent coverage of women’s participation in political leadership, domestic violence, gender-based violence, and female genital mutilation, emphasizing the importance of increasing such reporting across media platforms.

She also appealed to program officers and international institutions to prioritize engagement with the newspaper in tracking stories flagging women’s issues and providing feedback for improvement.

Additionally, she emphasized the importance of monitoring project implementation and addressing challenges beneficiaries faced.
