Abraham Jackson’s Brace Seals Margibi FC’s First Win Of The Season

The Rubber Planter Boys of Margibi County, under the second division outfit, Margibi Football Club, got their first win since the start of the 2023/2024 Orange National League-2nd Division, through their newest skipper, Abraham Jackson.

The former Jubilee FC striker scored a brace in the second half, after a scoreless first half, to seal a narrow 2-1 home win for Margibi FC over Nimba United at the George Weah Technical Center in Careysburg on Sunday, October 29, 2023.

The young hitman has registered 4 goals and an assist for Margibi FC in 8 appearances for club.

His brace could not help Margibi FC escape the bottom three clubs on the league table, but rather earned the club’s first home win of the new season, though the match between Margibi FC and Nimba United was early on schedule for the opened-air Nancy B Doe Sports Stadium in Kakata, Margibi County, but was later rescheduled to the George Weah Technical Center in Careysburg.

Abraham Jackson will hope to continue his goal fest for Margibi FC in his team’s next fixture with Sinoe NPA Anchors, as he is the currently the club’s highest goal scorer.

Margibi FC has played 8 games so far, with the team suffering 4 defeats, 3 draws, and a single win, accumulating 6 points.

Without a doubt, this season marks the worst so far for Margibi FC since the team’s participation in the second top tier of Liberia’s domestic football, the Orange National League-2nd Division.
