Rule Of Law, Others Top ALCOP’s Platform

By Bill W. Cooper

As Liberia gears up for its upcoming October 10 presidential elections, a clear set of priorities has emerged among the candidates vying for the country’s top leadership role.

The Standard Bearer of All Liberia Coalition Party (ALCOP), Lusinee F. Kamara, has emphasized that his administration will address key areas such as infrastructure, rule of law, and agriculture, among others if elected President of Liberia.

Liberia, like many nations, recognizes the vital role that infrastructure plays in economic development and social welfare. But addressing the country’s age-old infrastructural challenges has been a top priority for the ALCOP, enshrined within the ALCOP platform.

By investing in the development and maintenance of roads, bridges, public transportation systems, and other critical infrastructure, Mr. Kamara said his government aims to foster connectivity, boost trade, and enhance the overall quality of life for Liberian citizens.

Alongside infrastructure, Kamara, addressing scores of partisans yesterday, furthered that his administration will also ensure the rule of law remains a cornerstone of Liberia’s democracy and national stability.

The ALCOP Standard Bearer also emphasized the need for an impartial and efficient judicial system, which guarantees equal access to justice for all, as well as strengthening the judiciary, improving legal frameworks, and promoting transparency and accountability within the legal system.

“This focus on the rule of law seeks to build trust and confidence among the population, ensuring a fair and just society for all Liberians, irrespective of one’s political or religious affiliation,” he noted.

For Agriculture, Mr. Kamara bragged that as former Commerce Minister, agriculture, being a significant sector for Liberia’s economy and food security, finds itself prominently featured on his ALCOP platform.

This, he maintained, “My platform also recognizes the untapped potential of Liberia’s agricultural industry and seeks to enhance productivity, encourage sustainable practices, and improve market access for farmers.”

“Revitalizing the agricultural sector not only promises to empower rural communities but also ensures food self-sufficiency and stimulates economic growth, reducing the country’s reliance on imports,” Kamara assured.

Mr. Kamara added that his platform addresses a range of other critical issues affecting Liberia and its citizens.

Key amongst them include healthcare reform, education, youth empowerment, gender equality, environmental sustainability, and job creation, among others.

By taking a holistic approach to governance, the ALCOP PL asserted that he envisions building a strong foundation for Liberia’s future prosperity and social well-being.

As the campaigning intensifies and Election Day draws nearer, the candidates’ plans to tackle these issues will be scrutinized, ultimately deciding the course Liberia takes in the years to come.

The citizens eagerly await the leadership that will transform their aspirations into concrete actions, bringing about positive change and shaping the destiny of their beloved nation.
