The Jorg Wolf Foundation through the New Apostolic Church recently put smiles on the faces of hundreds of orphans by donating variety of food and non-food items worth US$4,823 to three orphanages in Grand Bassa County.
The donation was a part of the church’s yearly distribution for the restoration of hopes to the less fortunate and orphanages.
The team visited Zinc Camp Compound #3, David Town Children Home and the Edina Children Center.
The beneficiaries at the different orphanages received the church delegation led by Apostle Alexander Wleh and representatives from the church.
While distributing the items, Apostle Wleh gave a message of hope to the orphans from the team urging them to believe in God and to know that Jesus loves them and will always make ways for them.
Under the Hungry and Needy Project, the Foundation in South Germany is funding relief projects in Sierra Leone, Guinea, Liberia and Cote d’Ivoire
It will be recalled that over the years, the Jorg Wolf Foundation through the church has been touching the lives of many Liberians and notable among them are their timely interventions during the Covid-19 outbreak in the country.
The Church has been engaging in charity for the betterment of mankind and to share the love of Christ, according to Apostle Wleh
The donation was made to compliment the efforts of the government and to alleviate the burdens and economic hardship on the orphanages that are surviving on donation from people.
At the David Town Children Home, the donations were made in the presence of Apostle Wleh and the caretakers, the beneficiaries sang and danced as the items were handed over to them.
Director Roosevelt Kanneh praised the church for the donations.
He assured the Church that the items will be used for the intended purpose and prayed that they be remembered again for a similar donation.
Kanneh also called on other humanitarians to follow the example of the church.
At the Edina Children Center, Madam Martha warmly welcomed the team with songs and danced to show their appreciation to the church’s kind gesture.
She spoke on behalf of the orphans, thanking the team for choosing their center and meeting their needs which is essential for the survival of the less fortunate kids.
Madam Martha also said the beneficiaries were surprised to receive as she explained the difficulties the kids are facing for shelter and food to eat.
