NEC Sees Huge Turnout In BVR Phase Two

National Elections Commission (NEC) Chairperson, Damietta Brown-Lansanah has expressed confidence, that there will be a huge turnout in the ongoing phase two of the Biometric Voters Registration (BVR) exercise in the remaining counties, including Grand Kru.
She said with the feedback and data collected so far from across the nine counties, thousands of citizens are turning out to register in the ongoing BVR process.
Brown-Lansanah told the Ahteenah Radio Station in Grand Kru that Liberians are encouraged to be patient to stand in queues to make sure they are part of this very important electoral process.
When quiz on whether there will be an extension of the BVR timeline, the NEC Chairperson said there will be no extension beyond May 11, 2023, and admonished all eligible voters to take advantage of the remaining days to fully participate in the ongoing BVR exercise.
As relate to the report, NEC technicians have been deployed and are working assiduously on a daily basis to address some of the technical issues their field workers have been encounter with since the exercise commences.
However, she is reminding Liberians about the importance of the voter registration card after the October 10 elections, which include, travel opportunities and bank transactions.
