Karnplay, Loguatuo Road Work On Course

The Karnplay-Loguatuo 47.1 Kilometers pavement road to the border with the Ivory Coast is reportedly on course by the China Railway Seventh Group Company Limited (CRSG) in Nimba County.


The road project in Gbellay Electoral District 3 kicked off initially in November 2020, under the Ministry of Public Work’s resident engineers in Nimba County.


The pavement is in two phases as the main road from Karnplay near Zorgowee Town to the bridge before reaching Yekepa Highway.


Karnplay situated in the Gbellay District lacks infrastructural development in terms of farm-to-market road since 2012.


The Chinese are also clearing the structures and bridges on the highway from Karnplay-Loguatuo for the pavement of the road.


Since 2020, road connectivity in Kparblee District couple with the pavement of the Sanniquellie, Ganta-Saclepea Highways are on course in Nimba County.


Chief Elder, Sahn Yeah, thanked the government for the pavement of the road from Karnplay connecting Sanniquellie to Yekepa and told this paper recently in Loguatuo that the pavement of the Karnplay road has reduced the transportation fare in commercial vehicles from L$2, 000 to L$1, 000 from Ganta to Loguatuo border with the Ivory Coast thus bringing relief to the people.


Another elder, Old lady Helen Dahn boasted that the work on the Loguatuo road by the Chinese has set farmers to engage into farming activities in terms of transporting their local products to the market.


Also, speaking to this paper, Elder Moses Sonkarlay said the road works in the district especially Loguatuo has brought great relief to the residents in the district to move freely in transporting their products to Monrovia.


When contacted, the Chinese Company Human Resource Manager in Karnplay, Ebenezer Seigbeh, explained that the manager who is clothed with the authority to speak to the press had gone to inspect the roads.
