Haywood Mission, PAW Host Suffragan
Bishop Julian Johnson Delegates

An eighteen-member delegation from Bethesda Temple Church in the State of St. Louise Missouri in the Americas is in the country as guests of the Haywood Mission Institute and the Pentecostal Assemble of the World Inc. (PAW).
The team is headed by suffragan Bishop Julian Johnson and first lady Melanie Johnson who are expected to carry out several activities during their nine days stay.
Addressing a news conference at his Sinkor Old Road office, the principal of the Haywood Mission Institute and Diocesan Bishop of the Pentecostal Assemble of Liberia West Africa Council, Leo M. Simpson, said the focus of the visit will be the dedication of the Samuel Grimes Rehabilitation Center on the Kakata Bong Mines Road.
According to him, the cutting of the ribbon will be conducted by Marquis Mccoy and Adam M. Kyne of the A.M. Kyne Collegiate Resource Center and on Sunday, November 5, a special ordination service will be held at the Have Faith in God first Pentecostal Church front Street in Monrovia beginning at 11:00 A.M
Bishop Dr. Simpson outlined other activities of the team as follow; Monday, October, 31, a welcome and thanksgiving program will take place by H.M. I family and remarks in each classroom by students will be made beginning with the kindergarten to the 12th grade.
Tuesday an unstuck seminar from kindergarten to 12th grade using the curriculum provided from the American Bible Society will be held follow by baptism and Holy Spirit session as well as a liturgical dance session.
The following day, some of the visitors will be guests at the A.M Kyne Collegiate and Resource Center on the campus of the William V. S. Tubman High School on 12th Street in Sinkor.
According to Bishop Simpson outreach activities like street evangelism will take place in some areas and surrounding communities in West Point along with a block party for children and also advance prayer/Holy spirit training will be held and the same activities will take place at the 1st Have Faith In God Church on Front Street.
Meanwhile, on Friday the Calvary Apostolic Church of Hope in massue, lower Margibi County will be a ministerial meeting and training of ministers’ wives as well as an outreach in the community. Other activities on Saturday will be a travel tour to the port city of Buchanan, Grand Bassa County at the Have Faith In God Church were another ministerial meeting and training of ministers’ wives.
Another ministerial meeting and training of ministers’ wives will take place at the Bishop David Ellis Memorial Institute/Miracle Praise and Worship Center Church in the J.J.Y community, in Gardnerville; a ministerial meeting and training of ministers’ wives, outreach, and evangelistic service for community and children as well as outreach distribution will be held.
It can be recalled in November of 2018, a delegation of nine which includes then District Elder, Julian Johnson, now suffragan Bishop Julian Johnson; Pastor Kandy Merell Chairlady for international mission and sister Ida Flanigan chairlady, LAS Fidelas Matrons within Liberia visited PAW’s facilities at the time.
Also in 1977 Sister Shirley Hayes, the president of Las Fiedlas Matrons of Betheda Temple visited Kakata to acquaint themselves with activities at the Samuel Grimes.
The group has been functioning as a foreign mission team with emphasis on Africa to help the needy, train and empower church workers.
The Bethesda Temple Mission Team is headed By Suffragan Bishop Johnson, First Lady Johnson, Suffragan Bishop, Jeff Akers; Dr. Kandy Akers, Ashley Rice, Calandra Flanigan, Delmeana Cox, Demetrius Thomas, Hester Mcroberts and Marquis Mccoy.
Others members of the visiting team include: Ophelia Murphy, Tyler Cagraw, Dr. Anthony Buckles, Tiffany Polk, Ruth Belnavis, Deriee Belnavis, Todd Inman, and Kitrell Braslman.
In a related development the founder of mission life Mrs. Monique Simpson-Foray said the mission of the team id to carry out an assessment visit to the Samuel Grimes Rehabilitation for At-Risk Youth Center.
She said the center will work with over thirty-five young people in the area that are involved with drugs and substance abuse for a period of one year adding that the center will officially open on November 3 and the cutting of ribbon will be done by members of the visiting team also in country.
Also visiting Liberia as a social health worker is Mrs. Miatta Singbe-Sarnor, a close friend to Mrs. Foray, the vision bearer of the establishment, who works with the north health administration in the state of OHIO in the United States of America
