Qualification Insight! … Lonestar Takes On Senegal Tomorrow In Dakar

Liberia will have to maintain its composure by demonstrating the spectacular as the red, white and blue boys take on Senegal in the return leg of the 2020 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers at the Léopold Sédar Senghor Stadium on Saturday at 5:00p.m. local time.
A 29-man Liberia Football Association (LFA) delegation finally arrived in Dakar, Senegal yesterday, August 1 following hours of delays at the Robert International Airport (RIA).
Christopher Jackson scored an 89 minute header to give Liberia 1-0 lead from the first leg at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) in Monrovia on Sunday, 28 July.
Liberia goes into the crucial Saturday’s away match with a 1-0 advantage after the home based players narrowly defeated their Senegalese counterparts at the ATS in Monrovia.
Qualification for the CHAN competition is one of Kojo’s compulsory mandates in the wake of securing a new contract to stay on as national head coach. A high-placed source at the Ministry of Youth And Sports has hinted the INQUIRER Sports that Kojo’s job is at risk if he fails to qualify Liberia.
Liberia’s journey for qualification is now an uphill task as Kojo’s poor away performances could hamper the team’s chances of featuring in the 2020 African Nations Championship. Howbeit, the lads recently produced an outstanding display in Equatorial Guinea as they were forced to a 1-1 draw away. A draw away to Senegal gives Liberia automatic qualification while a dismal performance could end Liberia’s hope of reaching the CHAN 2020.
Meanwhile, the Liberian delegation reached Ibis Hotel at 1:30AM after airport formalities and will have their first training session today at 4:00PM ahead of the second leg of the 2020 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifier on Saturday after they were stranded at the RIA due to poor flight arrangements from the airlines.
The delegation is headed by LFA Executive Committee member, Henry Boyd Flomo and it includes LFA communications director Danesius Marteh, head coach Thomas Kojo, deputy coach Samuel Chebli, trainer George Gebro, goalkeeping coach Eric Glassco, physiotherapist Boakai Abu Kamara, masseur Sampson Zoegbeh and kitmen Tommy Johnson and Daniel Hodge.
Administrative manager Sebastian Collins left for Dakar immediately after Sunday’s 1-0 triumph to secure an ideal accommodation and other match-related activities.
Deputy Youth & Sports Minister for administration Audrian Smith-Forbes, Assistant Sports Minister James Toe, NPA Sports Association President Austin Dennis and Fifa-badged referee Hassan Corneh, who left Monrovia on 31 July, are due in Dakar today at 2:00PM from Abidjan to complete the 34-man delegation.
Below is the squad:
Goalkeepers: Prince Wlame (LPRC Oilers), Tommy Songo (LISCR FC) and Alpha Jalloh (BYC)
Defenders: Alvin Maccornel and Nuwo Johnson (LPRC Oilers); Daniel Woto and Prince Jetoh (BYC); Kemoh Kamara (LISCR FC)
Midfielders: Armah Vaikainah, Sam Jackson and Edward Ledlum (LISCR FC); Isaac Pupo (Watanga FC), Abdulai Yaya Bility (BYC), Farsedu Logan (Watanga), Ebenezer Solo (LPRC Oilers) and Marvin Blapoh (Monrovia Club Breweries)

I do enjoy the way you have presented this particular issue and it does indeed give me personally a lot of fodder for thought. However, through what precisely I have personally seen, I basically hope as other comments stack on that people continue to be on issue and not get started upon a soap box involving the news du jour. Yet, thank you for this superb point and though I can not concur with this in totality, I respect the perspective.
